Edit Intentions
[edit]Hello everyone, I am a chemistry PhD graduate student at Dartmouth and my class, functional nano: synthesis and applications, has a Wikipedia editing project. My goal is to edit this page by adding more information about applications and connections to green energy. I would also love to create diagrams and visuals to explain the content better. My proposed edits are outlined in more detail below.
In this article there is a brief history of Microbial Electrochemical Technologies with some recent developments cited from 2022. I am hoping to add a section that discusses the developments of solar cells using this technology, since this is referenced once in the introduction of the article but not elaborated on. There are also no figures or diagrams to explain processes in the text, which I think readers would benefit from.
Some of the claims in the history section have no citation, such as what happened to the field when greenhouse gas emissions became a greater concern. Also, I think more recent developments and technologies could be added to this section as well, particularly those that come from years beyond 2022. I am hoping to add at least 20 citations to the work so that readers can find references to more current applications. I am excited to contribute to Wikipedia's knowledge base!
