year of birth seems wrong at 1962. 1959 perhaps. Assuming age is given in court. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4158/is_19970207/ai_n14089834 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Palx (talkcontribs) 12:39, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Year of birth was taken from C. Heylin, Can You Feel the Silence? p. 455: "the pair met ...in the summer of 1992, though the striking thirty-year old former Miss Ireland..."

In Rogan, No Surrender, p. 408, Michele is quoted as saying: "I've been rearing children since I was 20." She won the Miss Ireland contest in 1980 and according to Rogan married Devine the following year-(1981). Rogan's book, p.409, also says: "Rocca, like himself (Van Morrison) was born under the sign of Virgo"-so that would make her birth year, 1961 if her exact age was listed in the-summer of 1992 as 30-so I changed it. I have often found that newspapers are really inaccurate with age and dates, unfortunately. Agadant 14:47, 20 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

A question has come up with using Johnny Rogan's biography of Morrison as a source. Rogan is a respected biographer and his biographies are quite well thought of. --NeilN talk to me 16:42, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Should be considered a reliable source. Why not? He's noted as a biographer and is known to have worked on the Van Morrison biography over a period of 20 years.Agadant (talk) 01:52, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Apparently he was unauthorised. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:18, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't matter. Wikipedia doesn't (and shouldn't) only use subject-approved biographies. What matters is the reliability and reputation of the author. --NeilN talk to me 13:22, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Specifically, the source should be reliable, not just the author. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:09, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
