I don't know how to do the template thing, but this should be merged with merismus, which appears to be the same thing. Widsith 15:34, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I would advise to keep the briefer explanation of merism at this alphabetical location -- someone seeking "merism" would probably not know to look up "merismus." JPickett

I'm unclear on the relationship between http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hendiadys and Merism. Are they synonyms, one a subset of the other, or distinct? --Wcoole (talk) 21:14, 22 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
