"arab gunman"

In the last paragraph in the introduction it says Meir Kahane was murdered by an Arab gunman. However, Egyptians are not Arab. It would be more accurate to say "Egyptian-American gunman" or just "gunman." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.101.180.123 (talk) 15:26, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Year of Ernest Bevin protest

Lightiggy corrected the year of Ernest Bevin's vist to New York—during which he was picketed by a young Kahane—as 1949, instead of the previous version which had it as 1947. The source for the earlier date seems to be Kahane's father, as reported by Michael Kaufman of the New York Times. I don't have access to The False Prophet, but there are numerous sources for a 1949 visit in which Bevin was picketed and subjected to an "egg-and-tomato barrage" (here is one example, and here is a photo) but with no mention of Kahane being present, as he was only a teenager then and relatively obscure. Bevin visited New York in other years also, as would be expected of a Foreign Secretary. Can someone provide a quote from the book or otherwise vouch for the corrected date? For the record, I was not the one who added Kahane to the Fascism template. However, here are some sources calling him or Kahanism fascist. The fascism template is also included on the Kahanism page.

He is definitely defined in RS as an extremist. First and last links are RS. The first one does not say he is a fascist. The last one uses wording like "quasi". Overall, there is not enough support in RS to include him as an outright fascist in any templates or categories. Same with Kahanism. It appears to be a variety of Religious Zionism, exactly as our page says. My very best wishes (talk) 14:49, 7 August 2026 (UTC)

Not done. I understand what you mean, but I did a google search: "emigration to" and I got 1,740,000 results. One of them was the Cambridge dictionary, so obviously, "emigration to" is fine.

PS Linguistically, I think emigration to is beautiful, because it both says that one left one country and entered another one - this whole process described in two words!
