as part of the luyana tribe, this tribe formed the springboard for the Lozi Kingship. primarily located in Lukulu District of Western Province, a few traces of the language are also found in Northwestern. The chief is called Munyambowe or officially called IMENDA. The capital of the mbowe tribe is Sangaulu, a place located in near the confluence of the Zambezi and the kabompo river.
