The D5 engine bore and stroke is different to what appears in my manual, Gregory's Scientific Publications, Service and Repair Manual No. 182, Mazda 323, 2nd Ed, 2nd reprint. ISBN 85566 611 0

It gives the 1500 77mm bore x 80mm stroke. Works out as the same capacity.
