Half a story?
[edit]The phrase "maximal evenness" suggests that there is a mathematical measure called "evenness" that we maximise i.e. optimise. Has anybody defined such a measure, and if so, how have they optimised it? Yoyo (talk) 03:38, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

Malpractice
[edit]This sentence is badly written and clear as mud for our target audience:
- In scale (music) theory, a maximally even set (scale) is one in which every generic interval has either one or two consecutive integers specific intervals-in other words a scale whose notes (pcs) are "spread out as much as possible."
This is yet another music theory article which makes a straightforward concept harder to understand than it needs to be.Trumpetrep (talk) 23:04, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
