It is stated that Verstappen is a Dutch and Belgian driver, which he is not, he does not hold dual citizenship and does not have the Belgian nationality, he is Dutch. He was born in Belgium to Dutch parents, but has chosen the Dutch nationality of his parents, ergo he is NOT Belgian. It is legally impossible to have both Dutch and Belgian citizenship, except in some exceedingly rare cases. ~2026-36056-08 (talk) 12:41, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done. He very much is both. This has been discussed plenty of times and there are more than enough sources to support his nationalities. Your knowledge of Belgian and Dutch nationality laws is also clearly flawed as is you knowledge of his family. Only one of his parents is Dutch and it’s not a problem at all for a person born with both Belgian and Dutch nationalities to keep them their entire life, nor is it legally impossible to be a dual citizen of both countries at all.Tvx1 17:36, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
