I have just completed a series of substantive edits to the article, and I am posting here to be fully transparent about them. My goal was to improve the article's overall neutrality and comprehensiveness using high-quality, third-party sources.

Business Context: Added sourced analysis to the "History" section detailing the company's post-SPAC financial performance and the strategic rationale for the CoStar acquisition.
Expanded Criticisms: Added specific, sourced details about the 2023 class-action lawsuit to the "Criticisms" section, citing the Reuters report.
Market Analysis: Added a sourced paragraph to the "Capture Services" subsection explaining the channel conflict between Matterport's direct services and its professional user base.

COI: I run an agency in India that operates as a Matterport Service Partner (MSP). I'm trying to flag some factual gaps and missing legal/product developments here rather than editing the article myself to respect the guidelines. I'm only spending time here because it's the industry I work in. Here we go:

Zillow dispute: Zillow removed Matterport 3D tours from its listings and StreetEasy on October 20, 2025. Zillow said this was due to CoStar not renewing a Matterport API agreement and updating its media terms to restrict use on competing portals. CoStar disputed this, saying its terms did not specifically restrict Matterport tours, and that the removal was Zillow's unilateral decision. The dispute is still ongoing as of 2026. Brown lawsuit outcome: The article's legal section ends in January 2022. In May 2024, the Delaware Court of Chancery awarded former CEO William J. Brown around $79 million in damages over stock transfer restrictions applied after the de-SPAC merger. The Delaware Supreme Court affirmed it in April 2025, with an exception regarding post-judgment interest. (Justia, Ch. 2024; CourtListener, Del. 2025)

Other litigation missing: The article covers a September 2023 shareholder suit but misses a February 2024 derivative suit regarding earn-out shares and a June 2024 suit regarding the CoStar sale. It also omits the May 2022 Surefield patent case (where a jury found no infringement) and a January 2021 SEC information request. All of these are covered in Matterport's 2023 Form 10-K under Item 3 Legal Proceedings.
