Topics for expansion

This article could connect to lots of other articles on early 20th century reform, both in the US and Europe, including:

• child labor restriction and compulsory schooling
• mothers' pensions
• woman suffrage
• temperance/prohibition (US)

It needs to have a section with specific examples of maternalist reforms, and it needs to describe the successes and limits of these reforms.
