Failed "good article" nomination

[edit]

This article has failed its Good article nomination. This is how the article, as of October 3, 2026, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: The prose is generally acceptable, but there are issues with the lead. The lead is about half the length of the article and also contains some information that isn't present in the rest of the article. The guest list is all absent and uncited, as is the line about conservative politics.
2. Verifiable?: The guest list from the lead isn't cited and appears to have been a leftover from this massive removal of the episode list. The line that "Even went on a hiatus until 2022, where he pivoted into absurdist and satirical comedy, particularly of conservatism in the United States" seems to be interpretive and WP:OR. The Vice source doesn't say that he's engaging in satire of conservative but outright accuses him of being part of "the right-wing online media ecosystem" and "a conservative star," while the Polygon source only says that he describes himself as not being about "far-right politics." The framing from the lead about being a satire of conservatives isn't actually present. The article also claims that his accent is fake, which the sources don't seem to fully support (I see that indy100 says that its "been disputed," so it probably shouldn't be in wikivoice).
3. Broad in coverage?: I don't think that there's enough coverage of recent activities, especially of The Matan Show. This is presumably his main ongoing project, but it's mentioned once in the body of the article with no expansion. This is also a point under stability as there was back-and-forth around whether or not the episode list should be included in the article.
4. Neutral point of view?: Pass Pass
5. Stable?: The article doesn't seem to be totally stable. There's been a good bit of back-and-forth in the last two months with uncited information being inserted, his birth name and date of birth being inserted and reverted, and images being removed.
6. Images?: Pass Pass

When these issues are addressed, the article can be renominated. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to have it reassessed. Thank you for your work so far.— ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 19:11, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
