Origin of the lyrics of "Arrival" cover?

[edit]

While the original song is the 1976 composition Arrival by ABBA, that was an instrumental piece. For the lyrics sung by Gregorian in this track (beginning with the line "Sing, sing, sing the song they sang with us when they sailed away"), the only other occurrence I can find is a cover performed by Sarah Brightman in a 2008 album A Winter Symphony. The Wikipedia article for that album credits the lyrics to Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA, but I can't find any other source for this, or any mention of these lyrics in the article of Arrival itself. So are these lyrics by ABBA, or were they written by Ulvaeus specifically for the Brightman cover, or were they authored by someone else and misattributed to him? -Arancaytar 16:11, 21 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
