Where was the term Master Race first used?

[edit]

Could someone please tell where the term was originally used. I know most people say Nazis but is it really the oldest? Please tell. Coginito (talk) 12:44, 8 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Could a source for the super race be listed beyond merely listing Mein Kampf? Even a page

[edit]

The Nazis took this concept to an extreme by establishing a program to systematically genetically enhance the Nordic Aryans themselves through a program of Nazi eugenics, based on the eugenics laws of the US state of California, to create a super race. 92.17.242.159 (talk) 22:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Alleged "Nazi propaganda photo of ideal German soldier" with Werner Goldberg

[edit]

The “Nazi propaganda photo for recruiting soldiers,” which praised Mr. Goldberg as “the ideal German soldier,” cannot be found anywhere; it seems that no photo of this press release exists, except for the portrait photo of Mr. Goldberg in uniform, which is now used everywhere.

There are legitimate doubts as to whether the story is actually true. However, Goldberg was expelled from high school in 1935 because of his “mischling”-status, meaning he was registered as half-Jewish.

In addition, the "Berliner Tageblatt", in which the photo allegedly appeared with this idealizing attribution, was closed down by the Nazi authorities in January 1939. However, the war did not break out until three quarters of a year later, in September.

The Berliner Tageblatt was also not known as a supraregional “Nazi organ,” but rather as a liberal newspaper long hated by the National Socialists, owned by Jews (Mosse) and largely run by Jewish authors.

Goldberg's alleged school friend, who is said to have been "the son of SS General Karl Wolff," also appears to have been an invention, because 1. Goldberg was born in 1919, but Karl Wolff did not get engaged for the first time until 1923, and 2. he apparently had no son at all, only a daughter.

Intro is exaggerating the significance of Alfred Rosenberg's racial views to the Nazi Party

[edit]

The intro as currently shown puts Alfred Rosenberg's claim that that Nordic Aryans descended from people from Atlantis. Such claims were not asserted by other racial scientists whose views were supported by the Nazi regime such as Hans F. K. Günther whose views were a major influence on Nazi racial policies.
