Notability

This article has been tagged as having dubious notability and as requiring references. The article does make one important claim of notability—namely, that the company is the largest commercial breeder of ferrets in the US—and various lesser claims, such as being targetted by a prominent animal rights organization. These aren't particularly dubious claims, though admittedly they should be supported by independent sources, which shouldn't be hard to find. I'm therefore removing the notability tag but keeping the references one. —Psychonaut 23:13, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

They are fairly dubious, actually, since it makes claims of significant animal mistreatment and violations of laws with no citations... There's no place for bias in a scholarly encyclopaedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.24.92.87 (talk) 21:46, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Marshall's mistreatment of animals isn't a dubious claim, though I can't attest to specific law violations. They tend to severely inbreed ferrets to the point of Waardenburg's Syndrome and deafness, and spay/neuter at ages far too young, leading to adrenal disease. I will admit that I do have some bias, but these things can and should be stated, even if alleged and in a neutral manner with proper sources. ~2026-11032-96 (talk) 07:33, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

The whole "encounters with SHARK" section also feels very far removed from NPOV, and feels like its largely original research by the wikipedian that added its content.2A02:F6E:A4B3:0:C9B8:3D2C:6862:CDE2 (talk) 23:02, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
