Coal mine or seam?

[edit]

Given the explanation in the text which precedes it, does the title of the first column want to be altered to just 'mine' or, less confusingly, 'seam' which is the standard term for a thickness of coal in a rock sequence, rather than the local term? cheers Geopersona (talk) 18:40, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I am no expert, just interested, so at your suggestion I will change the title to seam. Thanks for reading.--J3Mrs (talk) 14:56, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm no expert either but it seems clearer this way. Good to see others taking an interest in the coalfields. I've been surprised how poor the coverage on Wikipedia has been on the British coalfields hitherto, though certain mines have been well documented. cheers Geopersona (talk) 17:28, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
