WWI Evacuation

I have moved comment from 142.165.24.207 from the main article to the talk page. He/she wrote "(WHO FLED TOWARDS AUSTRIA??...I AM SURE THAT NO ONE FROM MACHLINIEC FLED.)"

Machliniec was settled by Germans from Bohemia who were very loyal to the Austrian Habsburgs. When Tsarist Russian forces invaded the area at the start of WWI, many families evacuated to what is now present-day Austria.--RJSchwarz 17:24, 13 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
