  • ... that Loud LDN co-founder Maisi came joint last in the 2022 Maldon mud race behind a naked runner who had been forced to start after everyone else?

Moved to mainspace by Launchballer (talk). Self-nominated at 22:33, 26 July 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Maisi; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.Reply

- New enough - Created on 26 July by nominator, Long enough - 5371 characters (923 words), Sourced - Inline citations throughout, Free from close paraphrasing - Earwig's copyvio tool returns 8.3% violation unlikely [], Appears to meet all other guidelines/policies, Hooks are less than 200 characters and cited in article - although, with regards to Alt1, source does not appear to use the word viral, hence my change to 'received a million views'.

AGF as I don't appear to be able to access all sources. Don't know why, perhaps it's a problem my end. --Ykraps (talk) 07:17, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Greetings! I will take this one off the backlog. Will review in the coming days. Jordano53 18:51, 24 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
I'm not sure how comfortable I am with this given that he hasn't been diagnosed.--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
"At the start of 2022, after seeing that Piri had moved from Manchester to London,"
    • Provide details for the first instance, who is Piri? Did they have a relationship prior to this?
    Added "the musician".--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
    "After discovering Coupdekat via TikTok,"
    • Similar thing, who is Coupdekat? Just provide a basic description prior to her name.
    Ditto.--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
"the addition of other members caused the member list to grow to forty people"
    • This seems rather wordy- maybe just "grew to forty people?"
    Reworded.--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
    • The "life and career" section ends in November 2023, while her discography section shows that she has continued to release music. Surely there are more things to add?
I just googled "maisi selfish", "maisi "so shy"", "maisi "not my time"", "maisi "fake it"", "maisi girl!!!", "maisi idk", and "maisi "jingle bell rock"". The entire coverage I've found is undertheradar.squarespace.com and Slanky, and I'm not convinced either are reliable (I don't see the word 'editor' in either site's staff lists).--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
    • Speaking of discography, I would suggest adding a "ref" column in the tables, much as you did for Piri.
    Done.--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
" The pair ran the race again in 2023; on both occasions, the race was started by Brand"
    • Are there different legs? Just confused about the use of "started"
    No, there's different years.--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
    • Could we get a genre description somewhere in the article? Her inspirations are stated, but its not exactly clear the type of music she puts out unless you listen to it.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable, as shown by a source spot-check.
a (reference section): b (inline citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
    • Has a reference section, prose is properly cited, Passes Earwig
    • Stylistically, could we concise the "ref" column for the music videos table into one citation using row span? I think that would be better than having 10 instances of the same citation. Also do the same when you make a "ref" column for the tables in the discography section.
    Done.--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
    • Proper coverage up to this point- covers the essential while also covering more in-depth analysis of her! Would like to see more up-to-date information, however.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
    • Neutral indeed.
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
    • Edit history is clear; no problems here.
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
    • No non-free images, all are properly sourced in Commons and make logical sense to include in the article.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
    • Overall, this is a solid article with a few issues. I believe that these can be addressed in a reasonable amount of time, so I'm leaving it as neutral until the above are addressed. I also decided to listen to her music while reviewing, and I have to say it's quite enjoyable! Particularly enjoy "idk" at this point. Definitely hear the Charli XCX influence as well. I look forward to seeing your edits and thank you for your hard work on this article thus far. Best, Jordano53 06:16, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Done everything except the genre, which requires a bit more than just editing. I'll ping you when I'm done.--Launchballer 21:55, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Jordano53: I added descriptions from Shift London and WithGuitars.--Launchballer 07:39, 26 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Launchballer: After reviewing the changes, this looks good to me. Happy to pass. Congratulations and thanks again for your work. Jordano53 07:47, 26 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
