Contested deletion

This article should not be speedy deleted as lacking sufficient context to identify its subject, because

• the context of the article consists of production theory and the classification of a product as main product is an integral part of the costing of joint products; thus a context is given;
• the article's content is based on a definition found in a major undergraduate introductory textbook for cost management; thus, it is no fictional statement, the article's context and its relevance being approved by academic literature.
