Not the only or the most famous Australian academic by this name

There is an older Australian academic and scientist with the same name (Michael Osborne), who retired before the online age but was more prominent and noteworthy in his day I think than the subject of the current article: https://www.science.org.au/profile/michael-osborne, https://maths-people.anu.edu.au/~mike/, https://www.eoas.info/biogs/P003815b.htm.

Michael (Mike) Osborne is still an Emeritus Professor at the ANU. At very least, some better disambiguation would be desirable. GKSmyth (talk) 01:03, 1 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Michael Osborne has recently announced that they are transgender, and now goes by the name Maike Osborne.
