A typo is made in "also". Please change "alsp" to "also". Thank you. The typo is made in the top description of the article, in the context "He has alsp been the fourth chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) since 2004." HwyNerd Mike (talk | contribs) 07:25, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
Speculation of Jewish ancestry
[edit]I came upon this article claiming that he has some Jewish ancestry. Is anyone aware of anything further on this? The source is weak and conjectural, but perhaps there is more to it. I havent found anything further yet. Metallurgist (talk) 02:07, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
- I too just read that article and was surprised that there's no mention of Abbas' Jewish ancestry. Why do you call the article "weak and conjectural," btw? Is it because it's published by a site you disbelieve? 76.202.192.102 (talk) 19:42, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

Description of suggested change: Change the photo included on Mahmoud Abbas' wikipedia page so it doesn't look like he has had a stroke, the old photo was fine and he had the key of the Palestinian right to return, it was just a better photo overall. tldr; change the photo to the previously used one

Changing the photo used back to the non-stroke one
[edit]This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
Description of suggested change: Again, change the image shown on Mahmoud Abbas' main article to the OFFICAL one used by the State of Palestine, rather than some random frame taken by a random photographer that makes it appear like he has had a stroke, It was resolved by someone already but now someone has decided to change it back to the photo where he has the ribbon of Saint George instead of the Palestinian flag and the Palestinian key of the right to return

Personal life details
[edit]Hello,
I noticed there's a bit of a gap in the available sources about Mahmoud's family relations and such. I can add that according to Grant Lumley's "the Last Palestinian" Mahmoud married Amina in Damascus in the early 1950s. But if I remember right that same book said he was made Minister of Education in Qatar and not Director of Personnel, but it wouldn't surprise me if both are true.
I ask this because a lot of these PLO affiliates are actually related to each other and was wondering if anyone knew something about how that applies to Mahmoud.
