please correct typo error of year in line indicated below: should be 2022, not 2002
[edit]Adaptation: On Britbox in the UK, the series began streaming on 10 February, 2002, (source is already cited as reference #29, which indicates year is 2022, not 2002) Breeze2u (talk) 04:35, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- That error was fixed by some editor. - - Prairieplant (talk) 21:18, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
Plot summary is way too long
[edit]I read this novel, and find the plot summary here so confusing and way too long. Perhaps the method used in the sequel, Moonflower Murders, can be used here. Summarize each novel separately, in short. - - Prairieplant (talk) 21:21, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- I have made all those sections subsections of Plot summary, and modified some of the text. There is a sentence explaining that two plots are summarized. It is a start to a clearer summary. - - Prairieplant (talk) 23:31, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- At over 1,500 words, it's still more than twice as long as it should be. I'll have a go at hacking it down further. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 04:38, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
No page exists for the TV series
[edit]Why is there no page for the TV series based on the novel? There's a page for the sequel series Moonflower Murders. 2A02:8071:8681:5580:845B:1394:D8F2:40FB (talk) 07:59, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- It's most likely due to volunteer interest and time constraints, although it's likely also difficult due to a lack of a general series name - as far as I can tell, it looks like both series were released under their respective book titles rather than an overall name like "Susan Ryeland Mysteries" or similar.
- Other than that, another biggie would be coverage of the series. You'd have to find both reviews and coverage of filming, as TV series tend to be scrutinized a bit more closely than a film article might. I don't think that's going to be an issue, though. - On a side note, if an article for the miniseries is made it may be worthwhile to consider whether or not the show or the book should be the main target. It looks like it really could go either way - the show has the most news coverage but in a general Google search the first page is pretty even between the show and book.
