Why Percy?

[edit]

Found this page by chance through the search bar listing the redirect Percy the Small Engine (roller coaster).

Percy the Small Engine is a character from The Railway Series of children's books by the Rev. W. Awdry, and latterly its TV spin-off Thomas & Friends. Is there any connection between this character and the latest incarnation of this ride, as the article currently does not claim nor refute such a link (which is confusing to me, at least!). The pictures at RCDB show simple open cars, and not a trace of green paint (nor, come to that, an engine!) so why 'Percy'?

Yes, there is a connection -- found a YouTube video which proves it.
Will add as a ref in due course. EdJogg (talk) 09:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Should the details about it being demolished be added?

[edit]

Just a few hours ago, a permit was filed to demolish according to KTLA “a steel kids coaster valued at 10,000 dollars”. This is referring to Magic Flyer due to the attraction number being #2208. This is the same number shown for Magic Flyer on the building permit map for Wonder Woman. Should we add these details? CoasterMaxxering (talk) 00:42, 10 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
