Subject renewable energy
[edit]It is suggested that half of the energy consumed will be renewable by 2020, whereas this is misleading, as the source states that it is half of the energy produced. The half probably just covers electricity (not total energy), ignoring e.g. heat and transport. 2001:8A0:6034:AC00:1CDB:DFC0:62DF:405F (talk) 22:01, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

- Unless there is a pt-eu sound byte to use (which would be better, of course), it's good enough until then. Cristiano Tomás (talk) 14:28, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
wolf spider [...] is considered the largest member of its family in the world.
[edit]Two problems here: considered by whom (citation needed); and, more fundamentally, why "considered"? -- Is there some controversy, i.e. another spider may be the largest? Barefoot through the chollas (talk) 14:54, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
Suggested external link: live Madeira trail conditions
[edit]This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
I run levadas.live, a site that tracks live official trail status, closures, weather and safety alerts for Madeira's hiking trails, so I have a conflict of interest and am not editing the article directly.
The levadas/hiking paragraph mentions that some paths are "narrow, crumbling ledges where a slip could result in injury or death." Given that, a link to a page tracking real-time official closures (sourced from IFCN, the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, the body that classifies and closes Madeira's trails) might be useful to readers planning a hike: https://levadas.live/madeira-trail-status/
Happy to answer any questions about the source or have someone independent verify it before anything is added. Levadas (talk) 12:40, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
Not done: While I appreciate the idea behind this, it's not exactly the purpose of this article to assist readers planning a hike. For one, per our guideline on the subject, external links are not to be used in an article's prose other than inside footnotes where they verify claims in the prose. I could possibly see it being added in the External links section of the Sport in Madeira article, but it's not a great fit here. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 13:07, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
