Transmutation / burning nuclear waste
[edit]I'm missing this application - one of the main motivations for the project - a bit. "spent-fuel burning" and "burning of actinides" are mentioned, but this reactor (or future reactors based on experience from it) can be used to get rid of a lot of problematic nuclear waste, that is not really clear from the article.
