Sister, or half-sister?

MV Black Marlin and MV Blue Marlin articles describe them as "sister ships". But Black is 42 meters wide, while Blue is 63 meters wide. Such a large difference is unusual for ships of the same class. Sister ship describes the concept as "virtually identical design" and "The critical overriding criterion is having the same hull design".

Maybe the 2004 conversion widened Blue from 42 to 63 meters, but it's not referenced.
