User:Babysharkboss2, you have removed the official interview with Rowling on grounds of it being "just a YouTube source". But it's a fact that this official interview with her in question was hosted by and live broadcast by Scholastic Press, the official US publisher of the Harry Potter series.
Not only that, we have other sources of Rowling making that statement. The information was once to be found on her official website jkrowling.com from at least 2006 up until 2011 (see Wayback Snapshot). When her website was re-designed in 2012, the entire FAQ was removed and ever since, her website doesn't discuss the question of her favorite character anymore. As once an official part of the website, it's still mirrored on both The Rowling Library and The J. K. Rowling Index (which states the information was first uploaded to Rowling's official site in May 2004), the latter of which being a source of reference with its own ID system to be used in scholarly and other publications about Rowling, where the Index even boasts about being more accurate on publication dates than Rowling's and Warner Brother's official Wizarding World Digital, because WB lost track records of the publication dates when they replaced Pottermore. In any case, I consider it no coincidence that official interview with Scholastic Press with that same information, which you have removed, came at the same time as that FAQ was removed from Rowling's official site in 2012.
Furthermore, you have also removed, without any rationale, the other statement about Luna being one of the official "big seven" characters, as attested through other perfectly legitimate linked sources, such as The Irish Times and Rowling's official public speech held at the 2011 London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 2, livestreamed by WB. --DDBE4 (talk) 21:09, 17 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
