David Michaelis of Time

@MLJ1939: I see that you just did some appropriate clean-up on the presenting of the name of the magazine Time. However, there's a larger problem with doing so; it is utterly unclear why we are referring to David Michaelis as being from Time. Nothing in the article on him mentions him working for Time. Nothing in the reference used in the article points to Time, it is quoting him from a biographical book he wrote. (Plus, I'll add that nothing in the source we use supports the claim that Michaelis said that Lucy was modeled on Joyce, though such a statement might be find in the biography.) I have some strong WP:COI when it comes to Peanuts, but I encourage you or anyone else reading to check this sentence against its sources and edit appropriately. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 13:14, 22 June 2025 (UTC)

Capitalization of Van Pelt

There was a recent attempt to change the v to lower case. The capitalization was discussed on this page back in 2021, and we stuck with the capital V. The only times that I can find that the Van Pelt name isn't written in ALL CAPS in the strip are the November 8, 1964 strip, and again on Halloween 1982; both times, Linus handwrites the name with a capital V.

Nationality

I see some battle for the "nationality" field in the infobox. Thing is, Lucy's citizenship status is never established in the strip. If you see the word "Citizen" in Peanuts, it is usually followed by "Kane". The only character that gets called an American is Snoopy. Yes, but where you live does not prove your nationality. I live in Southern California, and live in a neighborhood with a number of people who are American residents but not citizens. We don't know that Lucy's family didn't move into the US from Toronto when she was 2 months old or something.If the fact is not actually established, there is no reason for us to be saying it. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 22:44, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
