Mark Epstein and Donald Trump

In 2009, Epstein's brother Mark claimed Donald Trump had flown on the plane at least once. He later told The Washington Post that Trump flew "numerous times" on Epstein's airplane, although Mark was present on only one of the flights.

The above is currently listed in the article. I believe it is incorrect but in an understandable way. Note that as mentioned in the article: "Epstein also owned a Gulfstream jet, a twin-engine Cessna 421 and a private helicopter."

The first article cites a 2009 deposition and a New York Post interview where it is asserted "Trump flew on the plane 'numerous times' but [Mark Epstein] said he was only present for one flight." The second article cites a document that "surfaced in court filings" in 2009, so likely the very same deposition.

Exerrcepts of that 2009 deposition have been provided, see here for one by Ken Bensinger since 2015. The relevant parts of the exchange is this:

Q. Have you ever met Donald Trump?

A. Yes.

Q. Was that through your brother?

A. Yes.

Q. Where was that?

A. We flew up on my brother's plane from Florida together. Donald was on the plane.

Q. When?

A. Somewhere between 5 and 10 years ago.

Q. Okay. So we are talking about —

A. It's either late '90's early 2000. Probably more like late '90's.

Q. Was that the only time you've met Donald Trump?

A. Yes.

Q. Which plane was this of your brother's?

A. I don't remember.

Q. Was this one of the big planes, the 727?

A. No. It wasn't that one, no.

Notice how Mark Epstein explicitly rules out the 727 as the plane that he flew on with Trump. Definitionally, the article defines the Lolita Express as the Boeing 727-100. Furthermore, if you look at the flight logs, there is only one entry that lists both Mark Epstein and Donald Trump, that being a flight taken on January 5, 1997 from Palm Beach International Airport to Newark. Note that the airplane model for that flight was the Gulfstream (G1159B). The facts roughly line up with the deposition, which also claims he only met Trump at one instance.

While this definitely is original research, I would argue that since that since the original sources cite the same source I am referencing and that the sources used only say "plane" and not "Boeing 767" or "Lolita Express," I don't think the statement should be included. Better sources needed: Newsweek

This article relies heavily on post-2013 material from Newsweek, which per WP:NEWSWEEK is a questionable source at best and as such should probably not be used for negative material about living people (which Epstein himself no longer is, but others involved are.) I suspect all this could be source elsewhere, so I'm just placing a "sources may not be reliable" tag on the article. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 17:37, 2 November 2025 (UTC)

In the introduction,

Who named the plane?

According to this 2015 Telegraph article:

Brought in on the billionaire's private jets, nicknamed the Lolita Express by locals, numerous teenage girls were allegedly made to take part in depraved orgies at his US Virgin Islands bolthole.

"locals" here meaning locals of the USVI. I believe this article was published around the time that the nickname was made public; some quick searches don't show references to it from before 2015. --superioridad ^(discusión) 08:53, 15 February 2026 (UTC)

Nadia Marcinko - pilot?

The article currently states: Nadia Marcinko was a regular traveller with Epstein on the aircraft.

But on the Nadia Marcinko#Association with Jeffrey Epstein page, the following is written:

Marcinko is best known as a former pilot of American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Several media outlets have reported that Marcinko worked as a long-term assistant to Jeffrey Epstein and was a regular pilot of Epstein's so-called Lolita Express after she received a pilot's license in 2012.

Additionally, her infobox lists her "occupation" and "known for" as pilot.

Could this be added to the article? I don't know where, but possibly in the infobox, and possibly Lolita Express#Allegations of sex crimes on board. I'd prefer to let someone else figure out what to write and where to put it, if possible.

Plane has not been scrapped

My change was reverted deleting the text saying the plane has been scrapped. This is a false statement, and cites a 2024 Guardian article . It reads "The late financier sold that plane in 2017, and it has since been destroyed." Yet multiple independent articles dating to 2026 show pictures of the plane intact and not destroyed. The Guardian piece is wrong.
