"anything caught between the log and the splitting blade will receive at least 10 tons of pressure." Log splitters come in various sizes. It cannot be assumed the user will experience 10 tons of force. Here is a log splitter that is only rated for 5 tons. It is probably safer to assume that the force is enough to cause amputation of any limb. --Jertel (talk) 22:06, 1 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
