Comment: Hey Hurricane Wind and Fire, nice work on this article. I see a few really interesting potential hooks, from the number of people who left, to the cost of the fire, to the 100 horses and parrot that were evacuated. You could probably even combine them all into one short hook. As for the current ALT0, I think you could make it more interesting by combining the reason for the fire with an unusual factoid like I listed up above. Play around with some new hooks. Comment: @Hurricane Wind and Fire: I'm seeing some issues that should be addressed. This sentence doesn't make much sense and the source might not support it: Residents in New Washoe City, Franktown, Washoe Valley, the Washoe Lake area, Montreaux, and St. James Road, with evacuations persisting until October 17 for Franktown Road. Please fix it. I think you are trying to communicate something like "Closures and evacuations were in effect for residents in New Washoe City, Franktown, Washoe Valley, the Washoe Lake area, Montreaux, and St. James Road, with evacuations persisting until October 17 for Franktown Road." There were 101 horses, seventeen smaller house pets, and one parrot. You're assuming and implying that this connects with Washoe County Regional Animal Services evacuating the animals per the previous sentence, but you need to connect that for the reader. Overall: Moved from draft to main space within the appropriate time period. New and long enough. Earwig shows minor technical wording and proper nouns. Some phrasing might be better paraphrased. Note, I uploaded a HQ version of the image in the infobox. It looks like you had accidentally uploaded the LQ one, and it was impossible to gleam any info from it. I also performed a series of minor copyedits, the majority of which were for MOS purposes. I should compliment you on the table in "Growth and containment". This is one of the few instances I can recall where a table is actually helpful and informative to the reader. However, this also makes me think you should consider summarizing what this table shows and adding a few sentences to the lead section. Not necessary of course, but it would be helpful. Minor copyedits still required per comments up above. Once that it is done, we can move on to the hook. I like ALT1 but we could improve it further, perhaps with ALT1a, ALT1b, etc. ALT0 isn't that interesting to me. Going with new hooks ALT1b and ALT1c unless new ones are provided. @Viriditas: Fixed grammar issues, significantly expanded lead, added another source to the closures and evacuations section. For the Washoe County Library source, at the Oct. 14 update at 2:45pm update, it states Evacuations for residents of the Galena, Montreaux, Joy Lake RD., and St. James neighborhoods can return home, showing there were, at some point, evacuations for those areas.
