Finding sources

It's a bit difficult to find sources for some artists/musicians who are frequently seen barefoot during their performances, which isn't always mentioned in media. For fictional characters https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PrefersGoingBarefoot has a huge list but I'm not going to see who has a Wikipedia entry (again there's a question of what constitutes a source). Barefoot Madonna

Joan Baez is an American singer/songwriter big in the folk scene during the 1960s, with contemporaries like Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. She's also famous for performing barefoot every chance she gets, to the point where she has the nickname the Barefoot Madonna. Ronnie Van Zant

Ronnie Van Zant, the lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, was known for performing barefoot on stage. This practice was a deliberate choice, reflecting his down-to-earth personality and desire to connect with the music and the audience. Criteria for inclusion

This seems to be a list of people who are famous for some reason other than being barefoot. There ought to be people who are famous primarily for reasons related to going barefoot, such as headline hitters, for right or wrong reasons, and advocates of going barefoot and/or social acceptance thereof. Did someone decide once upon a time that such people shouldn't be included here, or could nobody find any?

I note that James Graham, previously mentioned on Barefoot but removed as off-topic for the section he was mentioned in, might be an example of a headline hitter, but doesn't seem sufficiently notable. One would think there must be some people of this nature who are sufficiently notable. Can anyone find any? — Smjg (talk) 01:37, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
