Hi editors, I have a conflict of interest as I work for Lifeways Group, so I'm not editing the article directly but would like to request some changes to our Wikipedia page.

What’s wrong now

The current summary is unbalanced, misleading and fails to address the fact that Lifeways is a multiple award-winning organisation with staff and services who regularly feature in news articles for excellence on a national scale or for providing excellent services.

The current summary reads like this:

Lifeways Group is a British social care company founded in 1995, which provides supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and brain injuries. It also offers tailored holidays, or “respite breaks”, for the people it supports. The company has received notable scrutiny following a lengthy history of negligence and abuse allegations.

Under ‘Controversies’, there is the following paragraph which I would request is removed as it has no basis or citation:

In 2024, Andrea Kinkade backed Care England's proposals for the UK Government to reevaluate UK immigration policy. Lifeways are rumoured to have strong links to Nigeria. In Portsmouth 85% of the Lifeways workforce originate from Nigeria.

The History page also requires updating to accurately describe the history of Lifeways.

We introduced a regional structure across England, Wales and Scotland which led to a further period of growth and by 2009, the company was supporting 1,100 people.

Between 2010-2015

Lifeways continued to grow and acquired several smaller providers so that by the end of 2015, it was supporting 4,500 people.

Between 2015-2022

The company continued its growth, expanding into providing support and recovery services for people with mental ill health in 2017.

2022

Andrea Kinkade was appointed Chief Executive Officer.

2023

Lifeways became a Founding Patron of the Championing Social Care initiative and joined the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN).

2024

Lifeways partnered with energy provider Ecotricity to power all its residences and offices with 100% renewable electricity.

The company joined the Care Workers’ Charity, which assists the UK’s two million care workers with crisis grants and mental health assistance.

Lifeways joined the Social Care Future movement, an initiative that aims to bring about positive change in social care.

Lifeways and Living Ambitions in Scotland joined the Association for Real Change’s Charter for Involvement.

The company also won the Excellence in Supported Living and Excellence in Specialist Care awards at the prestigious LaingBuisson Awards.

The following paragraph in the Controversies section does not currently cite any sources and appears to contain speculative language. In line with WP:V, I am requesting its removal unless reliable, independent sources are added:

I think you might be able to get away with doing a big edit request and number the changes or something. Then someone can partially implement if appropriate. WP:Edit requests lists a lot of helpful info on that front.

Do note that we are almost entirely interested in what reliable, secondary sources have described about your company. We aren't interested in what Lifeways Group or people/entities connected to it have to say about the company.
