I suppose 904 and the relocation of the Tang emperor to Luoyang might also be considered the start of independence since Li Keyong's refusal to adopt the new reign name in effect meant that he declared the Luoyang government illegitimate. Fornadan (t) 21:30, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps, but while he initially refused to use the Tianyou era name (still using Tianfu, as Wang Jian did as well), he eventually did do so. It is not easy to properly date his independence, regardless. --Nlu (talk) 05:21, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
