See WP:EXPLICITGENRE. We don't just toss around a few genres in discussion and decide what is best. Genres must come explicitly from cited sources.
The AllMusic source has nothing reliable for us in terms of genre. It lists "Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, Heavy Metal" in the automated genre section but Wikipedia does not consider this part reliable, as described at WP:ALBUMAVOID. The only reliable part of AllMusic is the expert music critic writing prose about the topic, which is not present. There's only a couple of user reviews, which is again considered unreliable.
So independent music reviews or platforms where listeners can describe the sound aren’t allowed to be cited. In which case, would I be allowed to cite music magazines such as Rolling Stone, or the official Finger Eleven website? The latter describes their sound as “their blend of ‘90s alt and funk-rock”. The reader might be interested to know what the Finger Eleven website says but it is not defining to the band's listed genre. WP:SECONDARY sources are defining, written by uninvolved observers.
