While Doctrine of reception is mainly refered in context of reception of common law still actually; concept of legal reception seems to have wider scope ref to Max Rheinstein and so as of now I am not sure enough whether it is ok to merge the article in common law article. Secondly would it be more ok to rename this article as "Legal reception" being a broader term. At the same time google search shows that legal reception term is in use for altogether different meaning also. Mahitgar (talk) 12:49, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- Agreed - the phrase 'Jurisprudential Reception' appears to have been extracted from a single source. The concept is more commonly referred to as 'reception', 'legal reception' or 'reception of law'. I think 'reception' would be inappropriate as would not be sufficiently precise. 'Legal reception' is slightly more concise, and arguably more reflective of likely search behaviour than 'reception of law'. Murr1321 (talk) 04:42, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
