Working on a rebuild of the article
[edit]I'm currently working on a rebuild of the article, which is going to include more extensive information on how the system worked as well as a fairly comprehensive history of the device; the information is coming from a book on Nintendo's history, which I bought not too long ago. I am also going to be removing the references to what seems to be mostly fansites, as much of the information I am seeing is coming from my book, which would be a bit more reliable.
However, I plan to remove the "Disambiguation" section, as the article needs to focus on the Laser Clay Shooting System in general and not the sport itself (there's no context there). Also, I am going to remove the "Trivia" section as many of the more reliable sources contradict what is apparently said in WarioWare: Smooth Moves that the system was made in 1977 (when it was in fact 1973). Finally, I am going to remove the references to Duck Hunt, as, from what I have researched so far, Duck Hunt was not a part of the Laser Clay Shooting System or "Mini Laser Clay", but instead it was part of the "Nintendo Beam Gun Series" (see Wired source), which was a separate project for home use (unless we should include that project in this article also, but I feel it might be better if we had two separate articles on that).
Hopefully, I will have it done by the end of the weekend and that it will be much improved from the current version. –MuZemike 21:08, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
