Proposed merge with J.M. Meulenhoff

Many Belgian and Dutch publishers consolidated. Having short articles that are not well updated, I believe we should follow suit. gidonb (talk) 15:53, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

• gidonb, thanks for the note. I totally disagree but unfortunately I can't make a very strong argument given the poor state of our article--and the Dutch article isn't any better. I do NOT believe that it should be merged simply because Lannoo now owns it; I wish I had the time, and more sources like this one, to make that argument stick.   @Drmies: Then how about the following compromise. I can change the J.M. Meulenhoff article into the biography of Johannes Marius Meulenhoff that never becomes outdated, while moving the main discussion of the business to Lannoo. • It's a work-in-progress that has started. Next I will expand the article on Johannes Marius Meulenhoff somewhat and shorten the long section on the 2001 walkout in the Lannoo article. gidonb (talk) 04:33, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
