Full picture is a poor one of Lake Rotomakariri
[edit]Please see various Bunn references in the article. The full picture shows in the foreground shows the pre 1886 Lake Rotomahana and Lake Rotomakariri is only shown beyond. As this could confuse the reader so I recommend cropping the original picture as below.

- I think it will do and can be substituted in I suspect with a straight code drop from this talk page rather than changing the original on the commons or removing the picture. Most of the water shown is now Lake Rotomakariri although a little of the eastern shore of Lake Rotomahana is in the bottom foreground. You could crop to the base of the foreground hill between the lakes on which the White terrace was situated if you wanted to be sure but Lake Rotomakariri was actually surrounded by marshy reed beds I understand and these are not well shown in this picture ChaseKiwi (talk) 20:55, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
