Which locomotive?

In the photo in the article L&YR Class 7, there is clearly the first member (No.1400). However, what locomotive is the 4-4-0 in the image? I looked closely and it is probably class 3 No.1098 or 1099. Ilovejames5 (talk) 04:12, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Both 1098 and 1099 (this one is 1099) were Aspinall 7 ft 3 in 4-4-0 (as were 1093-1112, 1220-9 and ten others). Known as the 1093 class at the time, those rebuilt with superheater in 1908-14 (1098, 1104/5/10/2, 455) became Class 4 in the 1919 scheme, those remaining saturated became class 3. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:50, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
