The claim that it is Norwegian is also dubious, given that the text is in English. An image search for the Norwegian word, kjøkkenheks, also returns zero results for figurines. Kitchen Witch

More commonly, I've met neo-pagan witches who identify *themselves* as Kitchen Witches, rather than use this term to describe a type of doll placed *in* a kitchen. I suspect these are two different things. Valgrus Thunderaxe (talk) 16:11, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

Probably needs review

The info about the note

'So that those unfamiliar with the kitchen witch can understand its meaning, sometimes a note will be hung around the witch's neck stating something similar to: "The Legendary Secret of Goof-Proof Cooking: The Famous Kitchen Witch For centuries, Norwegians have hung this good witch in their kitchen. They believe she has the power to keep roasts from burning, pots from boiling over, and sauces from spilling."'

The text of this note sounds like a present-day joke ('good-proof cooking'), not like something from the time of old folklore beliefs. Also, the source cited is some kind of forum. Also, I don't find any occurrences of the word 'neck' or 'note' there. Anonymous44 (talk) 10:21, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
