As part of my course, this article will include descriptions of the environment within with Kirikongo is located, subsistence patterns as evidenced by remains recovered archaeologically, a succinct discussion of Iron Age Burkina Faso and the role Kirikongo plays in it, and archaeological remains at Kirikongo.
