I am going to be WP:BOLD and change the gif to a video but start a thread in case it warrants discussion. Per MOS:ANIMATION, gifs should have control functions. Having the video playing nonstop is quite distracting when trying to read the article, and while I am not advocating for censoreship, there may be some people who may not want to watch such a video.
