– As per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, the person is more important and discussed than other Khalilur. Also, his "economist" profession is less known and practiced, many people actually don't recognise him as economist. Mehedi Abedin 00:48, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not yet I am not particularly familiar with the name ordering and spelling stuff, so I'm just taking everything on the disambiguation page. It took two sets (wikinav is broken for me). . In April and May, this person received about 30% of the total views of all article subjects, the second-largest share behind Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. He has seen a surge in article views since he was elected President of the United Nations General Assembly. Annalena Baerbock, the current officeholder, seems to average about 500 views in that position, and her predecessor seemed to average about 100, which halved after his term ended. These are all fairly prominent politicians ignoring the UN, so no clue how pageviews work out otherwise. By views, I am convinced that this person is not the primary topic historically, I think we need to wait more than a week to determine if he is the primary topic right now, and I am unconvinced he will remain the primary topic come September 2027. I would note that this current disambiguation situation is not great and I would be ready to accept some alternative proposals that aren't PT grabs. I agree that economist is unlikely to be his primary recognized role. I have also reorganized the disambiguation page to aid reader navigation. 1brianm7 (talk) 21:10, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Mehedi Abedin, agreed with you but for now wait for few months. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 03:46, 11 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

– Khalilur Rahman (diplomat) is actually an economist, but his work doesn’t reflect the profession. Later he became diplomat, but now he is a minister and President of the United Nations General Assembly. It is clear that we can't specify him by any profession now as his biography covers many occupations. Other people in the same name isn’t so important as him (see the names on Khalilur Rahman). That's why, according to WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, I propose to remove his disambiguator. Mehedi Abedin 13:55, 23 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Agree with @Mehedi Abedin. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 22:55, 23 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak support for move: Difficulty in choosing a disambiguator is not an argument for someone being the Primary Topic, so the first and thrid sentences of the nomination are irrelevant. But the UN position, combined with looking at pageviews and a google search, makes me lean towards supporting the move. PamD 08:01, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. I think he now crosses the line for primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:54, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
