Please can you explain why it was marked as a false definition?

"Usage of mnemonics in languages other than English"

I don't get what "The usage of mnemonics in languages other than English is limited to the possibility of entering the underlined character using a single key stroke." is supposed to mean. How is the use of mnemonics in a GUI application dependent on language? Can anyone clarify? 134.147.252.139 (talk) 15:00, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

in languages that have require more than one keystroke to type a character (e.g. IME for japanese), the mnemonic is often at the end of the string in parentheses to match the english variant. mnemonics also are often different for different languages -- just like how "ctrl+s" in english is "ctrl+g" for spanish in windows. 174.16.138.68 (talk) 03:33, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
