The area was inhabited by the Maasai even from circa 1800. Kariandusi is actually the name attributed to the white clay soil (probably limestone) that was used by the Maasai to paint their shields white.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Kendirangu (talkcontribs) 17:21, 24 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
