Flag & Coat of Arms

According to German Wikipedia the flag and coat of arms were simply proposals and never offically introduced because of WW1. I'd like someone else's opinion before making a big edit though. — BegbertBiggs (talk) - de 16:05, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

If the German Wikipedia page says it was simply proposals than maybe we should do such edit. Also I am truly in favour of merging the list of German Governors into this article.Alex Costa0307 (talk) 17:56, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Mistreatment of natives

I don’t doubt that the German mistreated the locals, but much of the mistreatment mentioned in this article comes from a citation for "Lewin, Evans, How Germany Treats the Native, Quarterly Review, 229, April 1918" I don't think that what is seemingly wartime propaganda in origin should be what Wikipedia leads with, or considered reliable to be frank (I havent read the source myself, however). Other sources from modern scholars or at least significantly post-WWI or perhaps pre-WWI should be used, or German or native Cameroonian contemporary documentation and accounts. For example the statement that German colonies were known as “flogging colonies” has this reference plus a more modern book: I could not find anything about “flogging” in the modern book cited. English-Language publications during the WWI period were in absolute hysteria accusing the enemy of everything under the sun, while some of these may be true they should be gathered from other unbiased sources.
