Q:The name is backwards. Shouldn't KMFDM stand for Kein Mitleid Für Die Mehrheit?
A:The phrase that KMFDM stands for is intentionally ungrammatical.USA Today Chicago Heights, Illinois: What does your underground phase called Kein Mehrheit Fur Die Mitleid mean? Sascha Konietzko: It means "No Pity For the Majority".
The person posing the question is correct! The German should say "Kein Mitleid für die Mehrheit". Not only is Kein Mehrheit Fur Die Mitleid grammatically incorrect (albeit intended), but it is also utterly non-sensical.

What I mean is, should MDFMK be incorporated into KMFDM's history? Because as of right now, it's all mixed up.
If we DID incorporate it:
All member years would incorporate the MDFMK era. So for Sascha, it'd say 1984–present. This is how it looks now.
The infobox would have unbroken years. So, it'd say 1984–present. This is NOT how it looks now.
The self-titled MDFMK album would be listed under Discography. This is NOT how it looks now.
The timeline (on the separate members page) would have a black line for the MDFMK album, along with a colored bar for the MDFMK era. This is how it looks now.
The brief MDFMK tours would be listed under the List of tours section. This is NOT how it looks now.
If we did NOT incorporate it:
All member years would ignore the MDFMK era. So for Sascha, it'd say 1984–1999, 2002–present. This is NOT how it looks now.
The infobox would have divided years. So, it'd say 1984–1999, 2002–present. This is how it looks now.
The self-titled MDFMK album would not be listed under Discography whatsoever. This is how it looks now.
The timeline (on the separate members page) would have no line for the MDFMK album nor any bars for the MDFMK era. This is NOT how it looks now.
The brief MDFMK tours would not be listed under the List of tours section. This is how it looks now.
Personally, I think MDFMK should not be incorporated into KMFDM. It should be treated as a separate project, like Excessive Force, KGC, etc. And I feel like, for a long time, that's how it was viewed here. But I'm willing to see other POVs otherwise. i obviously dont want to talk about the god awful columbiners, but many people think that kmfdm supports columbiners/shooters. should there be a section discussing the widely believed connection between columbiners and kmfdm fans/members?? Oingoboingofan (talk) 21:11, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Their statement they made after the shooting feels like statement enough on their stance, however I see your point. Maybe like find more on what their reaction was? (Maybe this site could be helpful? It has quotes from the band) HarbingerOfEntropy (talk) 14:55, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
