One of Matthews employees in the early 1920's was Edward Andrew McCain, who was given the job of creating a municipal utility company (Park Hill Water Company) to provide water service to Park Hill, Lakewood and Sylvan Hills (areas where Matthews had major construction projects). The water company became a part of the North Little Rock Water District in the 1960's. Matthews named a street running through Lakewood after McCain McCain Blvd and years later Norton Simon built McCain Mall at the intersection of McCain Blvd and US Highway 67. --Mccainre (talk) 18:09, 20 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
