I don't know where this fits in. Eleanor Cooney and Daniel Altieri wrote a Judge Dee novel named, Deception: a Novel of Murder and Madness in Ancient China (New York: Avon Books, 1993). This article implies that 'Dee Goong An' was written in the Ming dynasty period but the article for the book quotes van Gulik's subtitle of "18th century". Richard Pinch 17:11, 25 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
