Moved from article

I've moved the following paragraph which was tacked on to the end of the article by User:65.126.41.78 to this discussion page. It may not be appropriate here, either, but it certainly doesn't belong where it was.:

"Due to the nature of the article some feel that the "hallucinogen" deliniation is not appropriate for the entheogens. As the nature of the perception of man is clearly finite (as descartes proved) at this time there is conflicting evidence as to the nature of not only the perception in mundane states but also those states which some deem to be "unreal". Furthermore the classification of sacred eucharist with such rubbish as "deleriants" is downright offensive and this is the reason that the "hallucinogen/deleriant" classification will be cut out right now. What is sacred to those who believe in the spiritual nature of the perception, may be in stark contrast to the perceptions of those who view this life as essentially lower states of pergetory, or even hell."

major work

i would argue that his book Pharmacotheon deserves its own article. it does appear to be an essential work in the field. i did read it cover to cover, its pretty extensive, some of the research and diagrams may be slightly inaccurate, but as a compendium of anecdotes and as a source text, its highly useful. Birth date

I just read an eulogy by Claudia Müller-Ebeling (https://lucys-magazin.com/nachruf-auf-jonathan-ott/) who writes "Mit Sarkasmus und Witz füllte Jonathan seine berüchtigten crackpot-files (im ‚Dummkopf-Ordner‘, wo auch sein falsches Geburtsdatum 6. Januar als Internet-Blödsinn gelandet wäre)." (Machine-translation: "With sarcasm and wit, Jonathan filled his infamous crackpot files (in the "fool's folder")) where his worng date of birth January 6th would have ended up as internet nonsense"). She then states that he passed on July 5th, "one month after his 76th birthday".

Photo

Horrible photo giving the vibe of a mugshot at worst and a passport photo at best. It should not be used. Please, if you have a photo of someone and the image is terrible, do not force it into the article. I don't know how many times I have to say this. Viriditas (talk) 01:52, 7 August 2025 (UTC)

Totally agree. That is a terrible photo and I don't think it would pass muster as a passport photo—his features are too distorted. Carlstak (talk) 04:25, 7 August 2025 (UTC)

Books destroyed in fire
